thanks Byron, would i have to drain the system down if so how i am thinking of getting new motor with it just in case it's a bit "dikki"

3 way diverter valve in the cupboard where your cylinder is located you may only ask for hot water but the valve may be jammed in the middle sending water to the radiators as well as your hot water
