Last night I tried to bake 2 small potatoes using the microwave facility. Half way throught he set time there was a loud 'shuddering' noise and the oven went dead. We checked the fuse and that was alright but I am at a loss to think what the problem might be.
Since I needed to use my microwave urgently I took it to be repaired by an authorised 'dealer'and I was told that it was the diodes that powered the magnetron that had failed. Cost me £59.99. Was I stung?
