How can I fix my Oster Blender?

The medal spindle turns at full-speed without the glass bowl on the Oster blender. When the remaining attachments are added (the grinder, glass bowl and top), the grinder doesn't work because the spindle isn't turning it. How can this problem be corrected?

I almost burned out the motor trying to run the blades as you're doing. As it turns out the blade was stuck with dried orange juice and wouldn't turn. They hadn't been taken completely apart and washed off and it was like Super glue. When smoke started coming out of the motor I turned it off, and now I don't know if I should lubricate the motor, or even how to lube it. How DO you lube the motor or whatever?!
