what is wrong with the gearbox?it may be a complex fix where special tooling is needed and expensive parts which is why the majority of people just source a replacement/2nd hand g/box from a good scrappy

then why not take it to gearbox specialist for them to "dismental".or maybe try local iveco dealers.
