I have a Sony Trinitron Digital TV, KD-28DX40 which permanently displays a very intrusive "AV" message on screen. How can I banish it?

turn it off , then tap the top ten times, then open a can of your finest and wait . If still no good find a 14 pound hammer and give it a good beating.
