Light in Samsung Fridge?

The light in my Samsung fridge (model No. RL39WBSW) kept flashing, and then went out completely. I bought a new bulb and put in, but no difference, We thought it was the switch, so bought one online, put it in today, the light came on for a while, now exactly the same as before, flashes a lot, but willl not come on and stay on. I can hear a clicking noise. Does anybody know if there is a starter in there somewhere, like there are on ceiling fluorescent lights. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you
