I put a motor off a 88 1000 on a 95 zx11 but used the carbs off of the zx11 motor they look just alike and now I am having problems starting it is the carbs the problem I do not know if the firing order is the same are not I think it is 1243 firing order that I have now this is not my bike but it is tring to start it is just backfiring it may not be getting gas or to much ?
The carbs might look the same at first glance and you're lucky they fit onto the inlet stubs, but internally differ to suit a different engine, try www.usedkawasakiparts.com for the right set.
