this worked for us too, wow great thanks. held down menu button on side of tv and then on remote, took out batteries and all working

I fell asleep and must have leaned on my remote. When I later tried to press the controls the lights flickered but nothing would work. Just turn on the tv, point the remote at it, and hold down the menu button for just over 10 seconds. It works. I was about to take mine back and called a help line. It was such a relief. Good luck my friend.

On the side of the TV hold down the menu button for 10 secs then take batteries out of remote and hold the on/off button for 10 secs then replace batteries and it should work.
