Mend Ryobi 720R Cord Clutch

need to fix pull cord on a ryobi 720r?

need pull cord repaired. have all off down to clutch rotor assembly tried to pry w/pry screw drivers put two jaw puller on apply little heat to clutch roto but power shaft assembly get hot to fast to do any pring of clutch rotor? is there a special tool or maybe i'm not appling heat right?

DO NOT PRY OFF OR APPLY HEAT hold power shaft assembly (the rod the clutch is on) with pliers with a piece of rubber or something so you don't put marks on the shaft then tap on clutch rotor carefullynot to breakthe clutch rotor it will spin off. i was getting coffe at bk's and stop in the local lawn mower shop on the way back home to fine out info.
