The revs drop out completely for short periods with a high pitched noise coming from the engine frequently in the rain.
Also the power steering becomes very heavy at times !!!
Are both these issues related to the same belt or something similar ???
If your alternator belt is slipping & alternator isn't charging, the electric power steering will stop working & the ecu won't function correctly. tighten the belt up or replace it, if it needs one.
