We had this same issue...the small black plastic door pin was broken off. We have super-glued it back on as a temporary fix but will need to replace. I'm still trying to determine if this is something I can buy parts for and fix myself or if I need to have a tech come out and fix...and others' experience in this would be helpful...thx

Most washers and dryers have a safety switch in the door so it wont start without the door closed. Check around the door for anything that is portuding from it or that the door will contact when closed. If you found a plastic switch then take something and press it in and see if that works. Thats all i know about that.
