Problem with my 4 year old GE FrontLoader wcvh6260fww?

Unit will not wash or spin. Tub fills, will not wash or spin. Counts down thru cycle drain pumps works fine...no clogs. I think it might be out out balance. If I put no clothes in it and use the Rinse and Spin cycle it will work fine. Recent technician visit could not solve problem. He spoke with a GE tech on the phone. They THINK it might 1 or 2 boards that are the problem. Great! If I buy them and don't need them they can't be returned. Any suggestions? Thanks
