hotpoint wt 940 door has locked andwont open after programme, thinkcatch is?

Ihave taken the top off the machine to see if icanrelease the door catch but dont know what to do next

UNPLUG MACHINE FIRST.you then have to reach down to where the door latch is and flick it open replacement with a new one is fairly simple
Tip of the day try to give the machine a thump by the side of the door where the latch fits this sometimes releases the lock,but u still need to replace it
