Can i fix my camera?

I have a samsung P1000 camera. Everything on the camera is fine, it still takes pictures etc, the problem is when i try to charge it or connect it to my laptop. Whenever i connect the cable to the camera it seems abit loose and i have to really push it in to get it to charge or connect. However i tried to connect it my laptop tonight and it isn't connecting at all. Do i need to buy a new charger or is my camera broken?
