Well it aint easy !!! unless you have small fingers, small x point screwdriver and patience, but it will only take 10 mins.
This is all from memory as i don't want to take it apart again. i couldn't find any details on the net so hope this info, even if slightly incorrect or vague is of use. you'll get the jist of it. This is more about being careful about the ribbon removal than dissassembly and reassembly.
1) remove the battery
2) remove sim card
3) remove the 4 retaining screws under the battery
4) remove the back plate
5) remove the speaker from it's housing - leave it attached to the circuit board
6) remove circuit board- it will still be attached by the ribbon cable.
7) Remove sticky tape over connection
8) This is a tricky bit, the ribbon is held in by a thin black strip that lifts up to release the ribbon. lift it squarley ard evenly- i snapped mine so be verrrry careful.
9) seperate the parts.
10) remove 4 screws and seperate the two halves of the phone.
11) On the screen part of the phone remove 6 screws 2 are under removable peices of mirror finish plastic tabs either side of the camera and light. unclip the two parts, ease apart carefully concealed tab click apart.
12) remove the sticky tape and then unclip the ribbon cable - remember the black clips that retain the cable are very fragile. as i said i broke mine but managed to get around it by pushing in the new cable and then sliding the old ribbon over the top of the new and creating a ribbon of double thickness- new under and old on top. then cut off the excess of the old ribbon.
13) dont forget to replace the sticky tape over the ribbon connections.
14) reassemble front cover.
15) install other end of ribbon cable into connector.
16) reassemble rest of phone.

well it may not be accurate about the dissassembly and reassembly but the point is about removing the ribbon clips and getting out of trouble if u do break them.
i am not a phone engineer and it's my first attempt so dont read this as professional advice.
you can do it but be careful or take it to a phone repair shop where they will do it for about 20 quid.
i paid 5 pounds for my ribbon on ebay including p&p.
good luck. but ask yourself - is it worth the agro to save 15 pounds.
