sewing machine?

My ce 250 has been working just fine now when I turn it on all that
happens is the lights come on. It won't sew or embroider, I just
upgraded to a windows 7 but that shouldn't effect the sewing part, is
there a fuse or switch or something for me to do or do I have to find a
repairman? I live in the toolies so fixing my self would be best. I have downloaded and the drivers for windows 7 are there.
