hi, when my washer machine empties it fills up my dishwasher and leaks all over my kitchen floor. My dishwasher constantly has water in the bottom of it now (i have searched for blockages inside the dishwasher) and i cant get it to go through a cycle. The light is on but nothing happens? I should mention that it has started doing this in the past month or so but has been setup the same for over 2 years without a problem.
has this happened to anyone before, can anyone please help?
thanks, that has sorted that bit. It no longer empties through the dishwasher!
Dishwasher still not working (light but no noises of cycle starting) wonder if the motor has gone!?!

Consider that you may have a partial blockage in your drain - excessive flow of waste water can not get past the blockage quickly enough and creates back pressure - the excess water enters the dishwasher.
Sometimes waste cooking fat solidifies and blocks the arteries of the drainage system.
