Mend Hotpoint WF340 Washing Machine Stuck Filter

Hotpoint Aquarius WF340 Filter screw cap stuck?

Hi, my Hotpoint Aquarius WF340 won't empty.
Tried to remove the filter but the screw cap is absolutely stuck. In fact when I tried to undo it using the plastic key some of the plastic cap broke off. Now I can't shift it at all. Any ideas of anything I can do please?
