How to lock the drum?

I need to remove the rotor cover for my LG WM2032 washer so that I can replace the hall sensor. How do I lock down the drum and also lock down the motor so that I can get leverage on the bolt??

I had the same issue. Your choices are to have someone hold onto the drum from the inside of the washer. Alternatively, I found that a quick 'jerk' of the wrench got mine loose.

P.S. when tightening it back up during reassembly, spin the drum in the opposite direction and as it is spinning, jerk on the wrench to get the bolt tight
