The drum in my diplomat washine machine has come loose?

After I overloaded my washing machine the drum came loose and now the machine will not work. The drum does turn but then is twists in the machine which prevents it from turn more than about 45 deg.The unit is nine years old so is it worth trying to fix it (if so how) or should I just buy a new machine?
