Yesterday got a new washing machine, first put it on a test wash and it did not drain, i then tryed the spin and drain function and still no luck.
i dont believe there to be any blockage as my sink drains fine.
I have also ensured that all screws and block is removed

Did you connect the drain hose under the sink to a spigot sticking out?.If you did,did you take the blanking cap out or cut the end off first before pushing drain hose on to it?.This is such a common issue on newly installed machines
