HDTV: Fix or Replace?

I tossed my remote control at our Sharp HD TV watching the football game on Sunday. Now there is an impact splotch where it hit the tv, and the bottom three-quarter of the picture is colored and white lines, an unwatchable picture. Is it worth repairing or should I buy a new one? My marriage may hang in the balance! Thank you in advance.
