How do I fix my Indesit IS60V tumble dryer?

My tumble dryer is making a banging noise, like something heavy is inside. I have emptied it and tried it again. The drum seems to be struggling to turn and there is a burning smell coming from inside. Still making the same noise. Is it the belt, what do I do?
