It's a stand alone and I tried ejecting the DVD as quick as I could after hitting the on button but didn't help. Thank you for your suggestion and time to reply.

i did that before and i restarted my computer and while it was butting up i hit the open door button and it worked good luck i hope this helps and i also hope it works for you
