daf cf430 8x4 2005?

this truck will only let me set of in first or second gear if you try a higher gear the computer cuts power and tells you that you are trying to set of in too higher gear. This truck did pull a trailer before we bought it. Can it be altered, it is a manual gearbox.

the idea of the switch is to protect the clutch

have never known it to cut power ...the switch for it is on the n/s of the gear box ,just take the plug off...you'll probably have 2 switches that screw directly in to the box .the split switch is roughly beside the oil level plug ,and the other is the plug you need to unplug....
