my indesit idl530 will not start. when switched on it just makes a low growling noise. sounds like a pump. quite handy so if anyone has any ideas would very much appreciate a reply

indesit WILI153 turns on by the main switch (red light) then I can press the second switch (green light) makes 1 thud noise but the cycle does not start?
