hotpoint wd440 washer/ dryer?

My Hotpoint WD440 washer/dryer machine has the same fault both when washing and drying - as soon as the drum starts its anti-clockwise spin it stops and lights 1 and 3 flash on and off continuously.
I have replaced C17 on PCB but to no avail, as this is only 2 years old, I do not want to dump it yet, these machines seem to have an inherent fault but Hotpoint do not want to know, so be warned!
Surely there must be an engineer who can advise on these faults as they must have come across the same thing time and time again.
