Mend Hotpoint BWD12 Washer Turning Spin

Hotpoint BWD12 washer dryer-programme dial turning?

Ran cycle but after spin water added then dial started to advance non stop. Tried turning to reset dot, but after a few minutes machine adds water and turns a few times then dial begins to advance again. Also seems to be trying to dry even when dryer is set to off. Can this be cleared?
