How do I get the tension rings back on?

I've just replaced the door seal on my Beko WM1510W but can't get the tension rings back on. Neither have a screw to adjust the tension, the outer one just a circle of wire joined to a spring, the inner one is a circular spring. Needless to say both came off easily.

iv used two screwdrivers in the past and wedged it over still attached just feed the screwdriver wih a blunt nd all the way round .
