What's causing Audio interference on my Toshiba CF35F50?

I have an old Toshiba CF35F50 TV. Just recently it has started to make a loud crackling noise when the TV is on. I have tried changing the input cables which seems to make the sound okay for a short period of time, but then the interference starts again.
