immobilser code?

hi, my renault clio 1.2 rl 1997, was broken into and had the steering column damaged. i have managed to activate the immobiliser code but i dont want to keep putting this code in evertime i start it. ive asked a mechanic and he mentioned something about a bypass box?? can you help me please?
