Faulty model LE40B620R3wQXU Samsung LCD?

Has anyone had the same problem as myself with the tv constantly turning off? And had samsung admit to there being a problem! have phoned them to find they are really unhelpful about admitting a fault?

I had the same issue but still had 2 weeks of warranty left. Engineer fixed it by using sandpaper on a metal part of the inside. Apparently some earthing issue. Not sure what part he sanded but he recognised the problem immediately

Hi i have a similar problem with this model t.v. The t.v. powers up but the picture does not come on and the led flashes and it has a high pitched sound and it switches itself off and on again it will do this a few times and will eventually come on, the hdmi imputs are not working either.Spoke to samsung and its out of warranty so its chargeable but said if its a know fault they may consider a repair f.o.c but currently deny they know of any fault with this T.v

I too has a LE40B620RWQXU Samsung TV about 2 years old, I an having the same issues as all of you, I contacted Samsung and their are not interested as i am out of warranty.
I was given the contact of a Samsung Dealer to come and inspect the TV but this is at a cost. I love my TV but i just fall out of love with Samsung products,I will also be telling my friends about the bad after sales Samsung offered.
Not happy!!

I too have the same problem. Ours started when the TV was 14 months old (purchased from Currys). The TV started fine but just kept switching itself off after a few minutes. If we moved the power lead, the TV came on again. I contacted a supplier of TV's (who I'd used previously) for advice. He took it away and monitored it for three weeks (as it was out of warranty) - it was fine all the time he had it. We got it back and the only thing we changed was the Power lead - the TV has been fine for the last 12 months, but has just started doing the same thing again. It would appear there is a clear fault with this model of TV - but from the comments here neither Samsung or Curry's want to accept any responsibility. Happy to take your money - not so helpful when it comes to resolving a clear manufacturing fault. I'm waiting on an enginieer to come and have a look at mine this afternoon - we'll see what happens.

I have exactly the same issues with this model of tv bought at Currys. Can't afford to take it to law but will never buy from Currys again and will never buy a Samsung product of any description.

Mine started turning itself on and off within the warranty period and the man who collected it said it was a known fault and he'd already collected and "repaired" hundreds. He said it wqs a faulty capacitor. Two weeks later i received my tv back only to have the exact same problem 6 months out of warranty. I rang Samsung and they didn't want to know simply stating "sorry there is nothing we can do it's out of warranty". If anyone manages to get a result through currys or even samsung then do ket me know because its driving me mad!

Add another one to the list. Mine is one and a half years old. This clearly is a known defect. Wonder what the law states and can samsung be taken to court for selling a defective tv.

yes, I am currently writing a letter to Currys, where I bought it. I intend on taking further action, as I have been informed that this is due to a fault by the makers.

samsung le40b620r3wqxu, i have the same problem. my tv was in warranty when the screen developed 2 lines across it, so the screen was replaced. then the pcb power was replaced shortly afterwards. now it can take a while to turn on(it just keeps doing the start up noise). and now it is turning itself off and i have to remove the power lead and replace for it to start. i also bought this from Curry's. i am led to believe that model no.s are unique to certain stores, so that you won't find one cheaper. i have friends with Samsungs that have had no problems. when it works, the quality of picture is excellent, but now i am wishing i had got something else. it would be nice if they were to admit a fault and offer a replacement. i shall be phoning them to complain, and hopefully find more comments like these to back me up.

I've had the same problem and they were not bothered as it was 3 months out of warranty. I have opened up the back and the PCB is all damaged with signs of corrsion of some sort. I'm currently trying to find the correct parts to replace it.
