Vacuum will not turn on - Electrolux EPIC model 6000 SR?

Electrolux EPIC model 6000 SR.
When I plug it in I see a lit-up picture of a plug.
I press the switch to ON.
A picture of "?" lights up.
Vacuum cleaner motor does not turn on.

Please advise what to do.

A possiblility is the vacuum level dial. There is a switch underneath that is affected by it.

Did you make sure you have a bag in the canister. If so, and you still see the question mark, you most likely have a wire disconnected insde or a faulty bag door safety switch. Email me at arctic@worldlynx.net if you have any other questions.
