miele coffee system?

I inserted the unit where you put the whole beans incorrectly, then tried to make a cup of coffee. It went through its warm up cycle and then ground the beans and an error appeared saying that the unit was blocked. I tried to remove the housing the beans go in and it is now stuck. It appears that I inserted it too far into the slot where it goes. It almost seems as though it is engage in mid cycle and won't release.
