Do you mean that you cut through the cable? If you put insulating tape on the cable to mend it, and there is any damp around, then it's goodbye Annie. Safest thing to do is replace the whole cable, or buy a waterproof cable connecter, but make sure that the male pin is connected to the hege trimmer side of the cable. Or buy a new trimmer, and take greater care next time you use it.
