Mend Servis Machine Will Spin

My Servis M3814AL washing machine will wash but won't spin?

My washing machine (Servis M3814AL (XL6)) will wash but when it comes to spinning it makes a sound like the motor is turning but nothing is happening. I have removed the back of the machine and the belt is secure, and nothing moves when the spin cycle is on. There is a whirring sound from the motors when the spin cycle has been started. How do i diagnose which part is the problem?

hi noise you can hear will be water pump. if no spin the belt on this machine has to be very(and i mean very) tight.sometimes you can adjust the motor down one of the bolt holes is egg shaped.other times if not adjustable you have to put a new belt on (dont forget power off when working) anymore probs msdapudsey1@msn.com
