Accenta 8 mini security system,9 years old we have been in the property 5 years.Electric cooker stopped working triggered alarm in kitchen and bell outside on the wall,won't go off.Turned cooker off at the wall and left it Pushed fuse box button back up.Outside bell goes off then after half an hour comes on again.

Hi All, So its the cooker cable or maybe even the shower cable we spur off is it, Damm after all these years ive just found out weve been doing it wrong, Must be an amendment in the 17th Edition which we were not told about, Or maybe we were asleep in the back of the class. Tut Tut us engineers for not paying attention.

So the new way of wiring an alarm is to connect it to the cooker circuit - thats where I've been going wrong all these years lol
