Mend Zanussi FL1082 Cycle Dial

Zanussi FL1082 sticks in cycle and switches off?

When I click on a wash cycle (g) the cycyle begins, then as the dial just passes "H" the machine stops and the power light goes out.

If I move the dial on a couple of clicks the machine powers up again and continues as normal

any ideas.

ps I inserted a new Dial knob recently which had broken

hi putting a dial knob on is quite complicated i think you will find you think your putting it on g but actually its a different program try fitting the knob again but the outer part of the dial must line up propperly they only go one way
