Mend Electrolux EWF1087 Water Pump Wire

repairing water pump on EWF1087?

Having removed a bra wire from the pump (that's after smelling the burning odour of the motor) the machine won't pump out. I gather the motor is burned out. I haven't worked out how to get into the cabinet to reach the motor. Any suggestions?
