hi i was driving around when i noticed a trail of gear oil behind me..then suddenly the clutch went extremely light and i couldnt change gear!..its not the clutch cable as the pedal is returning but its like the clutch is having no effect and i cannot engage a gear in the car..it just grinds...i wonder is it the low level of gearbox oil effecting it or what the car is a 1997 fiesta please help!!
is there anything i can do to put ot right untill i have the money to do it?..sort term fix??

hi john,it sound like the slave cylinder is leaking to the clutch these are located in the bellhousing of the gearbox and it would work out cheaper to have a complete clutch(3 piece) changed in the long run
