Mend Peugeot 206 Problem

peugeot 206 roof problem?

I have not used the roof down since I had problems with it last summer. The roof will start to go down but come to a stand still half way down, then slowly drop down on its own.
Im wanting to sell my car, but wouldnt dare drop the roof incase it wont go back up.
