What are the carburator settings for a yardworks hedge trimmer?

Back out both mixture screws 1 1/2 turns from fully closed. This should allow you to start it.

With the engine running at a low speed (blades not moving), squeeze the throttle trigger.

If it dies immediately, back out the LOW screw 90 degrees and try again.

If it starts to accelerate, then dies, back out the LOW screw 45 degrees, and the HIGH screw 90 degrees.

When you get to the point that the engine runs with the throttle wide open, adjust the HIGH screw for maximum speed, then back it out SLIGHTLY.

Engine should accelerate smoothly from idle to full with no hesitation - it's a process of trial and error. Problems with pick-up are usually resolved by adjusting the LOW speed screw, but the 2 are interdependant to a certain extent.
