How can I get my Honeywell thermostatic radiator valves to switch off?

Two of my thermostatic radiator valves no longer switch off completely (I sometimes don't wish to heat all rooms). They are Honeywell, possibly model VT117e & were fitted 10 years ago. Is this a problem I can fix (am reasonably DIY minded)or do I need a plumber?
