Mend Yard Machines 357cc Snow Blower Start

Can't get snow blower to start?

I have a 357cc yard man snow blower. Left old fuel in from last winter. Won't start. Took plug out put a little gas in cylinder , it runs a short while. Checked fuel filter it's ok . Do I need to take carburetor off and clean it or can I buy something to put in it that will do the job.
