Can anyone help with this age old vw door locking problem? On my 52 plate golf the windows started dropping everytime the door was unlocked. shortly afterwards, when you close the door after getting in the central locking engages.
I've swapped the door module for a good (?) second hand one however , whereas before the windows dropped every other turn of the key, they drop all the time now. The key hole in the module looks a hell of a lot better than the original one and the central locking seems better however the windows drop continuously now, I've checked module twice and put it back in but all wires etc look fine. Am I looking in the wrong place for the fault? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks
The rod from the door lock cylinder must be droping slightly and activatin global opening.pos spring in lock cylinder, or latch ass,, but could be eather front door, try lubrcating , or lock rod ass broken, you can by separate parts but is little triky to assembl,
