How can I fix temp on fridge of my hotpoint mistral fridge freezer?

I have similar problems with the Mistral FF.
Have you tried cleaning out the vent at the bottom beneath the freezer door. It is held by 2 screws. You might find a very large mat of dust there.

I have just done that as my fridge and freezer have been running at a high temp. The freezer is plummeting now although the fridge seems unimpressed. Might be the thermistor. Will need to wait and see

I assume auto defrost, Auto defrost heater stuck on, could be thermostat or control unit
