My tumble dryer has been good for years. Last week it started to run for a few minutes and then switch off. Any ideas? I have given it a good clean out of all dust and fluff!
It appears the answer is stranger still. There was a fault with the mains socket on the wall. A double socket ,1 side fine the other just dropping out occasionally when under load. weird!
Here's hoping thats the end of the trouble.

You can narrow the fault down yourself....Here's how....If you can restart immediately after it shuts down, then its most likely the start/relay pcb....If you have to wait a while before you can restart (cooling off period) then its heating circuit related.
