Mend Hotpoint WF320 Wash Starts Rinse

how to fix this ?

Which ever wash program I choose, the program starts and withing a couple of minutes the start light, rinse hold and mini load lights flash as well as the washing machine drains and fills simultaneously..!!!

Its not an error thats covered in the manual and I have no clue where to start looking or how serious the problem is? But before I go out and buy a new one :-(((

Can anyone help please

if the machine is emptying without the pump cutting in i would think its syphoning, the waste hose must be fitted into a stand pipe and at its lowest height must be higher than the drum centre and must be loose fitting where it enters the stand pipe
