2 possibilities:
1 - There is a missing part in the black line. The mouse cursor sisapears some time as you slowly move it across the screen.
--> The monitor is defective and need to be replaced.
2 - The image is compressed right and left leaving a black strip in the middle. There is no missing part. As you slowly move the mouse cursor across the screen, you can have part of it on both sides of the black line.
--> Driver or video card isue.
Reinstall or update the video drivers. Get the new drivers from the card maker's internet site. You may also gat new drivers from the computer maker's web site.
ALL drivers are ALWAYS available for FREE from the official sited of the makers. There are often some alternative sources, ALSO FREE.
Never ever get drivers from a source asking for any fee ,they are stealing your money.
If that don't correct your problem, then your video card is deffective and need to be replaced.
