How can I fix my Indesit D61 dishwasher?

My machine is an Indesit D61 and very little used: no real operating time.For no apparent reason after so long into the cycle ( which ever cycle selected ) it trips the electrical source.Although it sounds as if water is entering the machine, on inspection, the washing cabinet appears dry. Further more, on inspection after the electrical trip, the heating element feels extremely hot. Could this be the electrical Water Inlet Valve and if so, how can I check this for operation? If not, I would appreciate your opinions.
